Suvarnabhumi Airport
Overview
Bangkok's main international gateway, about 30 km east of the city, built around a single vast terminal.
Terminals
One large terminal handles international and most domestic flights — but many low-cost domestic flights use Bangkok's other airport, Don Mueang (DMK), instead. Always confirm which airport you fly from.
Lounges
Numerous lounges including Miracle and airline lounges; expect long walks between distant gates.
Getting to the city
The Airport Rail Link reaches the city in ~30 minutes; metered taxis take 45–60 minutes in traffic.
Insider tip
Bangkok has two airports — Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK). Don't mix them up.
